Description

Southwest Cream Cheese Chicken Wraps are a flavorful and creamy blend of shredded chicken, cream cheese, and bold Southwest spices, wrapped in a soft tortilla for a quick and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup canned black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup corn kernels (fresh, frozen or canned)
  • 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar, and lime juice until smooth.
  2. Stir in the shredded chicken, black beans, corn, red bell pepper, green onions, and taco seasoning. Mix until well combined.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Warm the tortillas slightly to make them more pliable.
  5. Spoon the chicken mixture evenly into the center of each tortilla.
  6. Fold in the sides and roll up the tortilla tightly to form a wrap.
  7. Optional: Toast the wraps on a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and warm.
  8. Serve immediately or wrap in foil for an on-the-go meal.

Notes

  • You can substitute Greek yogurt for some of the cream cheese for a lighter option.
  • Add jalapeños or hot sauce if you prefer a spicier flavor.
  • Wraps can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
