Star Spangled Kielbasa Bites are a quick and savory appetizer featuring smoky kielbasa slices glazed in BBQ sauce and skewered with festive red, white, and blue elements—perfect for 4th of July parties and patriotic gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb kielbasa sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes (red)
- 1 cup mozzarella balls or cubes (white)
- 1 cup blueberries (blue)
- Toothpicks or small skewers
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix barbecue sauce, honey, and Dijon mustard.
- Place kielbasa slices in a baking dish or skillet and pour glaze over them. Toss to coat.
- Bake or cook for 10–15 minutes, turning once, until kielbasa is caramelized and heated through.
- Let kielbasa cool slightly, then skewer each slice with a blueberry, mozzarella ball, and cherry tomato to create a red, white, and blue stack.
- Arrange bites on a platter and serve warm or at room temperature.
