Description
A flavorful and easy-to-make meatloaf recipe using Stove Top stuffing mix, combining seasoned bread crumbs with ground meat for a delicious comfort food meal.
Ingredients
- 1 box (6 oz) Stove Top stuffing mix (any flavor)
- 1 cup water or milk
- 2 lbs ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the stuffing mix and water or milk. Let sit for 5 minutes to soften.
- Add the ground beef, eggs, ketchup, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
- Spread additional ketchup over the top for a glaze.
- Bake uncovered for 55–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- You can use ground turkey or chicken as a leaner option.
- Try using BBQ sauce instead of ketchup for a different flavor.
- Leftovers make great sandwiches.
