Description

A flavorful and easy-to-make meatloaf recipe using Stove Top stuffing mix, combining seasoned bread crumbs with ground meat for a delicious comfort food meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (6 oz) Stove Top stuffing mix (any flavor)
  • 1 cup water or milk
  • 2 lbs ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the stuffing mix and water or milk. Let sit for 5 minutes to soften.
  3. Add the ground beef, eggs, ketchup, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
  5. Spread additional ketchup over the top for a glaze.
  6. Bake uncovered for 55–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • You can use ground turkey or chicken as a leaner option.
  • Try using BBQ sauce instead of ketchup for a different flavor.
  • Leftovers make great sandwiches.
