Taco Spaghetti combines the bold flavors of tacos with the comfort of spaghetti for a fun and hearty dinner recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions, drain, and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until soft.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in taco seasoning and water, simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add diced tomatoes with green chilies and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the cooked spaghetti and mix until well combined.
- Sprinkle cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the pasta, cover the skillet, and cook until cheese melts.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired and serve warm.
Notes
- You can use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef.
- Add black beans or corn for extra texture and flavor.
- Adjust spice level by choosing mild or hot diced tomatoes with chilies.
