- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or smoked Gouda
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Slice onions into 1/4 inch rings and separate into individual layers.

Notes
- Vidalia or similar sweet onions give the best flavor.
- Smoked Gouda adds a rich, smoky twist if desired.
- Uncover the dish briefly to crisp the cheese topping.
- Great with grilled meats or as a burger topping.
- Leftovers keep well in the fridge for 3–4 days.
