Description
The Best Garlic Bread You’ll Ever Eat is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with rich garlic and herb flavor. Made with fresh garlic, butter, and parsley, this classic side is perfect for pasta night or any meal that needs a savory, toasty companion.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf French or Italian bread, halved lengthwise
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for extra crispiness)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread. Drizzle lightly with olive oil if using.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired for extra flavor.
- Place the bread on the prepared baking sheet, buttered sides up. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the top is bubbling.
- For a crispier finish, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic for the best flavor, but garlic powder can be used in a pinch (1/2 teaspoon).
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a slight kick.
- This garlic bread is best served fresh but can be reheated in the oven for 5 minutes at 350°F.
