Description

Yum Yum Sauce is a creamy, tangy, and slightly sweet dipping sauce commonly served with hibachi dishes, seafood, and fried rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1-2 teaspoons water (to thin, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, and rice vinegar.
  2. Add sugar, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and onion powder.
  3. Whisk all ingredients together until smooth and creamy.
  4. If the sauce is too thick, add 1-2 teaspoons of water and whisk until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • Store leftover Yum Yum Sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • If you prefer a spicier version, add a few dashes of hot sauce or sriracha.
  • For a vegan version, use a plant-based mayonnaise.
