Description
Yum Yum Sauce is a creamy, tangy, and slightly sweet dipping sauce commonly served with hibachi dishes, seafood, and fried rice.
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1-2 teaspoons water (to thin, optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, and rice vinegar.
- Add sugar, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and onion powder.
- Whisk all ingredients together until smooth and creamy.
- If the sauce is too thick, add 1-2 teaspoons of water and whisk until desired consistency is reached.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- Store leftover Yum Yum Sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- If you prefer a spicier version, add a few dashes of hot sauce or sriracha.
- For a vegan version, use a plant-based mayonnaise.
